The Procedure
Natural Breast Enhancement or Fat Grafting or Autologous Fat Transfer, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses your body fat to enhance breast size or shape. It provides a natural, long-term permanent solution for women with small or asymmetrical breasts who want a modest increase in size without implants.
The procedure requires fat to be harvested from multiple areas of the body, typically from the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or hips. The fat is then purified and injected into multiple layers of the breast tissue to achieve natural contour and shape. Women can achieve from 1 to 1-1/2 cup sizes larger in volume.
Dr. Feng's Philosophy
Dr. Feng uses a sophisticated multi-step fat grafting technique using the patient’s own living fat cells. Her gentle demeanor is particularly evident in the way she collects the fat without traumatizing the cells. She then carefully and masterfully purifies the fat by getting rid of all oil, tumescent fluid and red blood cells. The fat is then transferred to a sterile bin where any remaining fluid is drained and the pure fat tissue is mixed with platelet rich plasma (PRP) from the patient’s blood to make it more concentrated and potent. This protocol ensures a much better “take” of the fat grafts when injected into the breast tissue.
Dr. Feng has been performing Natural Breast Enhancement for more than 15 years and takes great pride in her results. She has perfected her technique and is able to ensure an excellent result, not only because of her meticulous preparation of the grafts, but also the mandatory 40 post-operative hyperbaric oxygen sessions beginning the day after the procedure. In the areas of injected fat where there is limited blood supply, high pressure in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber delivers more dissolved oxygen into the tissue to help the fat grafts thrive. The extra oxygenation also helps to prevent fat necrosis, therefore, resulting in a much better and long-lasting result.
Dr. Feng's Post-Surgery Protocol
Healing time is very important to achieving a great result. The faster a patient can heal, the sooner they can resume normal activities. Patients want to minimize their downtime following surgery as much as possible.
The healing time following natural breast enhancement is typically 7 to 10 days. Most women go back to work after 1 week as long as their job does not require anything too strenuous. During the first 2 weeks following any surgery, the greatest risk for bleeding exists so caution must be taken not to overdo it.
Beginning in the recovery room immediately following surgery, each patient is given fresh organic berries and spring water instead of crackers and Ginger Ale. At the time of discharge, they receive 1 quart of Dr. Feng’s Signature Salad (contains 13 superfoods) and 1 quart of our fresh FengFit® Plant-Based soup to begin their healing journey. Dr. Feng is adamant that proper healing begins with good nutrition and therefore, she developed FengFit® Plant-Based Cuisine in 2011. Today, Dr. Feng’s food is sold in 11 Heinen’s Supermarkets in the Cleveland area.
In an effort to expedite the healing process and provide the best possible environment for the fat grafts to take hold and thrive, we encourage our patients to do 40 60-minute sessions in our state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Dr. Feng’s standard post-op protocol is 2 sessions per day, 4 hours apart. Patients also receive 10 red light treatments which further enhances the outcome. This protocol ensures the very best results, however, for out-of-state patients who cannot stay in Cleveland beyond 10 days, we recommend that they continue the protocol at home. When seeking hyperbaric oxygen therapy at home, you must make sure the chamber can deliver pressurized oxygen at 2.0 ATA.

Due to the type of anesthetics we use, it is no problem for several reasons. First and foremost, all of our anesthesiologists are highly experienced board certified doctors, not nurse anesthetists. Next, we don't use anesthetic gas to keep patients asleep. Instead, you are breathing a combination of oxygen and air. This is much healthier for you than breathing gas. Then through an IV in your arm, you receive very fast-acting anesthetics that completely leave your system within 6 minutes after the surgery ends. This allows you to wake up quickly with no nausea and no hangover effect. You are alert and in control of yourself going into the Recovery Room.
