Lu Jean Feng Clinic

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

In as little as 30 to 50 minutes, Zhongmin Mao treats patients for everything from chronic to acute pain, to digestive and respiratory disorders using 3,500 year old Chinese therapies like auricular, electrical and body acupuncture, herb diffusion, cupping and GuaSha (scratching) therapies, Chinese reflexology and acupressure massage.
Acupuncture revolves around the placement of hair-thin sterile needles in varying lengths into specific areas of the skin. It is believed that these needles tap into the body’s force of energy called chi (pronounced “chee”. They are placed along one or several of the body’s 12 pathways, called meridians, through which energy flows. Each of these meridians is connected to a specific organ in the body. In a state of illness, it is believed that one or more pathway is blocked, disrupting the flow of energy. Acupuncture is then used to restore the flow of energy at a healthy rate.
